Daniel Gassin is a native Melbournian that has been living n Paris for the past 8 years, he is a composer, a pianist and he also has a new recording out released in April of 2021 called "Change of Heart" with his "Crossover Band."

He has kindly taken the time to talk to us about how his new recording, the inspiration behind it and also the great musicians he has chosen to be apart of the "Crossover Band." He also talks about what it is like moving from Melbourne Australia to a melting pot like Paris to become a full time musician and how he was able to make the successful transition into the Paris Jazz scene.

In this episode we will also hear new music from Nick Haywood, a Melbourne bassist and composer, he has a new recording out in September 2021 that features his long standing trio of Colin Hopkins on Piano and Niko Schauble on drum who is also the recording engineer on this project. For this recording Nick has teamed up with American vocalist Petra Haden who happens to be the daughter of legendary jazz bassist Charlie Haden.

We will also hear music from guitarist James Muller and Brisbane funk outfit "Cheap Fakes."
